Measure E creates an independent Los Angeles County Ethics Commission. It will have the authority to prevent corruption, increase transparency, and hold officials accountable in the largest county in the nation.

Measure E establishes an Ethics Commission that will independently administer and enforce County ethics, campaign finance, lobbying, and conflict-of-interest laws. It will investigate complaints, conduct audits, issue subpoenas, and impose penalties on violators.

Measure E holds everyone– elected officials, candidates, lobbyists, contractors, and others who do business with the County– to the same ethical standards.
